“Instead of trying to be the best on the team, be the best, for the team”
Below are our details on our current Teams, including their age-group, a little about their coaches, and the league / level they’re playing at.

U18’s – Emma and Clare
Emma and Clare have managed our U18’s team since some of the boys in the team were just 5 years old, a testament to their unwavering dedication and commitment to nurturing young talent over the years. Their journey began with a vision to create a positive and inclusive environment where every young player could develop their skills and love for the game. Emma has always had a profound love of football; it has been a constant theme throughout her life, starting from her days of playing Semi-Professionally to now embracing the role of coaching the game she cherishes. Alongside Clare, she has not only focused on technical skills but also emphasised sportsmanship and teamwork, instilling values that extend beyond the pitch. Emma and Clare ensure that they stay true to the A.F.C Walkern ethos of giving every child a chance to play football, regardless of their background or skill level, fostering a culture where passion and effort are rewarded. Through sweat, laughter, and tireless practice, they have built a team where each player feels valued and encouraged to excel, both in their athletic pursuits and personal growth.
